INFRARED CAMERA
Magiclean’s Thermal Imager is a lightweight portable infrared camera with outstanding image quality. The camera will take 150 high quality infrared still images and can easily prepare reports from a PC. The camera can be used on nearly any building material including roofing, drywall, floor coverings, exterior finishes, insulation and more.
Utilizing state of the art thermal imaging, locating moisture nondestructively has never been easier or faster. By scanning a surface the temperature difference created by the presence of moisture will appear differently than the surrounding area.
Monitoring drying curves with the infrared camera can greatly reduce drying times by locating drying areas: simple changes in equipment placement can be made. At the completion of a job, thermal images can be provided to customers and insurance adjusters to prove that the building has been properly dried.
These pictures show a busted water pipe that is hidden to the naked eye. Using the Infrared Camera, the contractor was able to locate the issue and begin working immediately without tearing out any unecessary areas.
In these two examples, the house had been wet for over a week before the problem was discovered. If conventional moisture probes were used in this instance, it would have showed moisture all the way up the ceiling when in reality it was just moisture due to the extreme humidity.
Using the Infrared Camera, you can see a different story from these images. The water damage in fact was not as bad. This saved a tremendous deal of time and money for home owner and nsurance company.
